Côte
d’Azur
Just the mention of the Côte d’Azur
conjures up images of yachts, glamour and luxury amid the Mediterranean’s
incredibly blue waters. Visit the chic resort towns of Cannes and
St Tropez and historical picturesque fishing villages of Villefranche-sur-Mer
and St Jean or even try your hand at the tables in the famous casino
in the cosmopolitan resort of Monte-Carlo.
As always, food and wine are essential elements
of your South of France experience. Depending on your port of call,
you will find elegant restaurants, stylish bistros, or intimate
cafés and in all of them, you will enjoy marvellous wine
and superb cuisine. There is excellent cruising in the French Riviera
from April to October with sunny, warm, dry weather.
The exciting coast follows the foothills of snow
capped mountains, which shelter the sailing waters and provide a
spectacular backdrop.
Remember, you do not have to plan everything in
advance, although you may want to decide on cartain aspects of your
trip if there are specific things you would like to see or do.
The Alice John is based just 15 minutes by taxi
from Nice International Airport, where regular
flights from most UK airports arrive throughout each day, making
long weekends breaks easily achievable.
Marina
Baie des Anges is situated at Villeneuve Loubet Plage and is
surrounded by a spectacular apartment complex, designed by Andre
Minangoy, to look like petrified sails.
Within the complex, which is also adjacent to
the beach, you will find a health club/spa, a large outdoor pool
with sun deck and restaurant and two tennis courts. Situated around
the marina are numerous shops, bars and restaurants, which cater
for all tastes.
